WHAT: 5-round single-round Rapid Event (Swiss), using a 10 min + 5 sec time control.
DIVISIONS: Open
RATED: CFC Quick Rated
TIEBREAK RULES: 1) Direct encounter 2) Buchholz 3) Number of games won (not including forfeits) 4) Sonneborn-Berger
REGISTRATION: On-line registration ends September 26th at 4:00 pm. No on-site registration will be accepted.
ENTRY FEE: $30 per entry
PAYMENT METHOD: Please EMT to [email protected](with player's full name and CFC ID mentioned as note)
PRIZES (by tiebreak, no split): Top 3 players will receive half of the tournament entry fee.
NOTES: No requested bye points in this event. Clocks and chess set are provided. By signing up, you permit Chess4win the ability to take and use photos from the tournament on its social media. If you would not like your photo used, please email us at [email protected].
WITHDRAW POLICY:
Pre-registered and pre-paid participants who need to withdraw before the start of the event can receive a full credit or refund via EMT, with a $5 handling fee deducted from the entry fee.
All emergencies should go through [email protected] for communications regarding withdrawal, travel delays, or other late-breaking information.
