Rating: Sections will be determined using the highest of CFC or FIDE rating. All sections will be CFC rated. O1900 and U1900 will also be FIDE rated.
Registration: O1900,U1900,U1500 Online registration ends on March 19th at 10:00 PM. Junior U1100 by March 21st 8:00 PM . No on-site registration will be accepted.
Capacity: 150 players
Time Control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds a move ;30 minutes + 30 seconds a move for Junior U1100
Format: 6 Rounds Swiss
Section: O1900, U1900 , U1500, JUNIOR U1100

Round 3: Saturday, March 21, 10:00 am
Round 4: Saturday, March 21, 4:00 pm
Round 5: Sunday, March 22, 10:00 am
Round 6: Sunday, March 22, 4:00 pm
Junior U1100 Schedule: March 22 at 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, & 4:00pm
The default forfeit time for any game is 30 min
Entry Fees: $90 before Feb 18th; $110 before March 8th; Regular is $130/entry. $10 Discount for SCC Members.$60 for Junior U1100($50/ before March 8th); Free super early-bird entry for players with a CFC regular rating over 2300 or FIDE regular rating over 2100.Limited to 20 spots.

Playing up: Add $20 if playing up. A player must be within 100 points of the rating floor for the section they wish to play up in.
Byes: A maximum of two half point byes in the first 4 rounds if requested with entry; zero points byes are allowed for round 5 and 6; All bye requests must be emailed to [email protected]
Prizes(3650 Based on 90 paid entries):
May increase based on entries. Guaranteed minimums will be paid regardless of turnout; Prize money is split between winners in case of a tie.
Tiebreak Rules: 1) Direct encounter 2) Buchholz 3) Number of games won (not including forfeits) 4) Sum of the ratings of the opponents (without one result)
Special Notes: The organizer will supply all chess pieces, chess boards, and clocks.
Cancellation Fees: A $10 processing fee will be applied for any cancellation prior to March 8th. After March 8th, no refunds will be given.
