Eligibility: CFC membership required

Rating: Sections will be determined using the highest of CFC or FIDE rating. All sections will be CFC rated. O1900 and U1900 will also be FIDE rated.

Registration: O1900,U1900,U1500 Online registration ends on June 25th at 10:00 PM.   U1100 Online registration ends on June 27th at 9:00 PM.

Capacity: 150 players

Time Control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds a move ; 30 minutes + 30 seconds a move for Junior U1100

Format: 6 Rounds Swiss 

Section: O1900, U1900 , U1500, Junior U1100

Schedule:  

Round 1: Friday, June 26, 10:00 am

Round 2: Friday, June 26, 4:00 pm

Round 3: Saturday, June 27, 10:00 am

Round 4: Saturday, June 27, 4:00 pm

Round 5: Sunday,  June 28, 10:00 am

Round 6: Sunday,  June 28, 4:00 pm

The default forfeit time for any game is 30 min

Junior U1100 Schedule: June 28th at 10:00am, 11:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:00 pm

Entry Fees: $90 before June 1st; $110 before June 22th; Regular is $130/entry. $10 Discount for SCC Members.   $60 for Junior U1100

Free entry for FM/WFM, IM/WIM, GM/WGM or players with a CFC regular rating over 2300 or FIDE  regular rating over 2100.

Playing up: Add $20 if playing up. A player must be within 100 points of the rating floor for the section they wish to play up in.

Byes: A maximum of two half point byes in the first 4 rounds if requested with entry; zero points byes are allowed for round 5 and 6; All bye requests must be emailed to [email protected]

Prizes(3800 Based on 90 paid entries): 

• O1900:$1000-$500-$300 Plus Championship Trophy and Medals
• U1900:$500-$300-$200 Plus Championship Trophy and Medals
• U1500:$400-$200-$100 Plus Championship Trophy and Medals
• Junior U1100:$150-$100-$50 Plus Championship Trophy and Medals

May increase based on entries. Guaranteed minimums will be paid regardless of turnout; Prize money is split between winners in case of a tie.   

Tiebreak Rules: 1) Direct encounter 2) Buchholz 3) Number of games won (not including forfeits) 4) Sum of the ratings of the opponents (without one result)

Special Notes:  The organizer will supply all chess pieces, chess boards, and clocks.

Cancellation Fees: A $10 processing fee will be applied for any cancellation prior to June 20th. After June 20th, no refunds will be given.
